[ 2-7 ] [ audio / commentlog ]
[The comm clicks on to a heavy breath. There's a pause before Vie speaks, and when she does her voice is lacking it's usual enthusiasm. Instead Vie's tone is quiet but firm, an attempt at hiding any emotion but failing more than she would like to admit.]
Marco.
[Another pause. This is harder than she thought.]
You have my loyalty. I will aid you in whatever way I can, just as I did him.
[And that's all you get. She's forced calm for long enough for today. Vie shuts off the comm and lets it drop to the ground beside her.
Anyone passing along Deck 12 might notice a young woman sitting against the door of room 1212. She's hugging her knees to her chest and staring blankly ahead. Not wanting to believe that she's lost her closest friend once again, Vie is waiting. Silently she prays to every god she's ever believed in to bring him back, or at very least protect Godric and everyone else that's vanished without a trace where ever they are now.
Vie refuses to think any of those lost to be dead.]
(ooc: She won't be much for conversation right now. Vie's not taking the loss of Godric very well. This is the third time that she's let someone in only to lose them a short time after. She's got a pretty short fuse and is severely lacking patience. If she snaps, it's nothing personal. Vie's a bit of an emotional wreck right now. In time she'll be back to normal. For now? approach at your own risk. :<)

Godric and Tarrant, both at the same time. Both equally important to Alice, but in vastly different ways.
Both losses equally heartbreaking.
Its in a lost state of mind she quite literally stumbles over Vie and after she manages to pull her mind back together, she speaks.
Her voice isn't filled with the whimsical light-heartedness that is customary of the young woman. Instead, its melancholy and distinctly sad.]
Oh, I'm terribly sorry...didn't see you there...
[commentlog]
Alice? I-- It's alright. I'm in the way.
[She makes zero effort to move. That door is her safe haven right now. There's a moment of silence, Vie's eyes trailing back to the spec on the wall she's been staring at for god knows how long.]
Are you alright?
[Her voice is distant, but the words genuine.]
[commentlog]
It takes her a moment to reply, and her brow is furrowed as if shes thinking very hard on something.
Finally, she speaks.]
...No. No, I would have to say I am most definitely not alright.

Never mind how she knows where Godric roomed (cough, vampire stalking, ahem!). Just... there she is. A Siren slinking, out of the elevators, two vodka bottlenecks clutched in one hand, the other set loosely on a tattooed hip.
Vie isn't exactly inconspicuous, poise like that. Lilith's boots make soft thuds on the hall flooring, the only dramatic entrance she bothers with when her sort-of friend looks a hair away from breaking. If she hasn't already. This kind of heartbreak may never have happened to her personally, but damn if Lilith hasn't played back-patter and producer of ice cream sundaes to scores of girlfriends.
Wisely keeping her mouth shut, she bumps into the wall next to Vie and slides down it until her butt hits even ground. The vodka is given an analytical glance, and then her legs cross and Lilith begins the waiting game.]
[commentlog]
Silence rings out for a time, and Vie cracks a faint, sad smile.]
Foolish, isn't it? You think I would of accepted by now that he's not coming back.
[commentlog]
Yep, you would think that. A lotta peeps would be better off if they faced reality off the bat.
[But there isn't so much as a tinge of exasperation, or cynicism, or any attitude to say she's going for the kill. For all intents and purposes, Lilith is just stating a fact.]
Iiiii don't think we work that way.

She passes by Vie, and does a double-take. She doesn't know this person, but she looks so sad... ]
Ma'am? Are you okay?
[Inwardly, she fusses at herself. Of course she's not okay. No one is ever okay with that face.]
[Commentlog]
She turns her head to the sound, not recognizing the voice nor the person that goes with it.]
Ah. I--
[Vie shakes her head and offers a small smile.]
Not right now, no. But I will be.
[Commentlog]
Um, I mean. I don't know you or anything, and I know it's weird, but is there anything I can do for you?

[Oh wait. That's not a happy look.
He crouches down.]
[Commentlog]
Hello Mikey.
[Her greeting is quiet. Perhaps unlucky for Mike, he's the sort of friend that she trusts enough to let her guard down around without realizing.]
I'm afraid you've caught me at a bad time.

[She stops to think before she speaks. Silver's being nice enough.]
Just a little shocked, I think. A friend vanished overnight without a word. I've no idea where he is or if he's okay.

Is he sleeping over at your room? He's not at his room and I wanted to show him a picture I made.
[Voice]
Godric had to go away for a while. I'm not sure where but I think it must be important if he didn't stop to say goodbye.
[Stop. Breathe. Think.]
Maybe we could leave the picture on his door?

He doesn't say anything when he approaches. There's not much he can say honestly. Instead he just leans against the wall next to her and waits with her. At the very least he can give her some company.]
[commentlog]
For a time, Vie doesn't speak, simply sitting and staring ahead. She shifts, stretching her legs out in front of her and glances up at him.]
Sorry for this, Kevas. I'm not much for conversation right now.
[It's not a dismisal, rather a quiet explanation for her current state.]
