[ 2-7 ] [ audio / commentlog ]
[The comm clicks on to a heavy breath. There's a pause before Vie speaks, and when she does her voice is lacking it's usual enthusiasm. Instead Vie's tone is quiet but firm, an attempt at hiding any emotion but failing more than she would like to admit.]
Marco.
[Another pause. This is harder than she thought.]
You have my loyalty. I will aid you in whatever way I can, just as I did him.
[And that's all you get. She's forced calm for long enough for today. Vie shuts off the comm and lets it drop to the ground beside her.
Anyone passing along Deck 12 might notice a young woman sitting against the door of room 1212. She's hugging her knees to her chest and staring blankly ahead. Not wanting to believe that she's lost her closest friend once again, Vie is waiting. Silently she prays to every god she's ever believed in to bring him back, or at very least protect Godric and everyone else that's vanished without a trace where ever they are now.
Vie refuses to think any of those lost to be dead.]
(ooc: She won't be much for conversation right now. Vie's not taking the loss of Godric very well. This is the third time that she's let someone in only to lose them a short time after. She's got a pretty short fuse and is severely lacking patience. If she snaps, it's nothing personal. Vie's a bit of an emotional wreck right now. In time she'll be back to normal. For now? approach at your own risk. :<)

We've lost a few more passengers, one of which I was quite close to.
[Commentlog]
If he was human, he might be blushing though.]
Oh ... bummer. Sorry.
Who was it?
[Commentlog]
Godric.
[Commentlog]
Hey, but like, people come back sometimes, right? Maybe he'll come back.
[Commentlog]
[She tenses a bit at that contact, but allows Mikey to do so. Too worn out to think, Vie takes that as an invitation to lean in a little more.]
When I first arrived, Anna said I'd been here before. I can't remember it at all though.
[Commentlog]
Like, nothing at all?
[That's kinda weird. Mike frowns a bit in concentration, trying to imagine what it'd be like to be told you'd done something that you couldn't remember.]
[Commentlog]
[She figures if Godric came back without memories, it wouldn't be so bad. It's got to be better than no Godric at all.]
It was a strange thing to hear, and one I didn't believe at first. The last I recall before the island was being in the caverns.
[Coincidentally the day that she lost her team and Master. She won't get into that too much. Things are depressing enough as they are without other memories stepping in to aid with down falling her mood.]
And then I was here, on the boat.
[Commentlog]
[Sorry Vie, he doesn't have much tact.]
[Commentlog]
Ah... Where I lived before I came here was an old castle ruins. My master, Shad found it and slowly fixed it up. It was a beautiful old building. Underneath it, and stretched out away towards the mountains was a series of tunnels and underground caverns.
[She smiles at the thought.]
It was a bit of a maze down there. Shad made us memorize the paths, just in case we ever needed to use them.
[They did.]
[Commentlog]
[Mike grins a bit and jerks a thumb towards his plastron.]
Sounds kinda like where I grew up.
Except with less sh--
... mud.
[Commentlog]
Could you tell me about where you're from?
[Commentlog]
It wasn't exactly the Hilton.
We lived in the sewers under New York. It smelled bad and it was damp and dark, but we got used to it.
[Despite his expression, he says this all in a jovial tone. Mike liked their home. It was theirs, he knew those sewers like the back of his shell, and frankly it probably smelled about the same topside anyway.]
[Commentlog]
We? Who else lived there?
[He's her first turtle. Some how Vie has managed to miss the other three, not to mention Splinter.]
[Commentlog]
[Mike's aware Vie's asking just as a distraction, but he also loves being the focus of a conversation, so he's happy to elaborate.]
[Commentlog]
Your brothers are turtles as well?
[Wait. What. She must of heard that wrong.]
You have a master?
[Commentlog]
[He blinks. That's usually not the strangest part of the explanation, he finds.]
Uh ... well he's kinda more like our father. He trains us in ninjutsu.
[Commentlog]
[She half expects him to say no.]
Different to my world then. The term 'Master' means more 'Owner' where I come from. Though Shad was more a friend than anything.
