[ 2-7 ] [ audio / commentlog ]
[The comm clicks on to a heavy breath. There's a pause before Vie speaks, and when she does her voice is lacking it's usual enthusiasm. Instead Vie's tone is quiet but firm, an attempt at hiding any emotion but failing more than she would like to admit.]
Marco.
[Another pause. This is harder than she thought.]
You have my loyalty. I will aid you in whatever way I can, just as I did him.
[And that's all you get. She's forced calm for long enough for today. Vie shuts off the comm and lets it drop to the ground beside her.
Anyone passing along Deck 12 might notice a young woman sitting against the door of room 1212. She's hugging her knees to her chest and staring blankly ahead. Not wanting to believe that she's lost her closest friend once again, Vie is waiting. Silently she prays to every god she's ever believed in to bring him back, or at very least protect Godric and everyone else that's vanished without a trace where ever they are now.
Vie refuses to think any of those lost to be dead.]
(ooc: She won't be much for conversation right now. Vie's not taking the loss of Godric very well. This is the third time that she's let someone in only to lose them a short time after. She's got a pretty short fuse and is severely lacking patience. If she snaps, it's nothing personal. Vie's a bit of an emotional wreck right now. In time she'll be back to normal. For now? approach at your own risk. :<)

She passes by Vie, and does a double-take. She doesn't know this person, but she looks so sad... ]
Ma'am? Are you okay?
[Inwardly, she fusses at herself. Of course she's not okay. No one is ever okay with that face.]
[Commentlog]
She turns her head to the sound, not recognizing the voice nor the person that goes with it.]
Ah. I--
[Vie shakes her head and offers a small smile.]
Not right now, no. But I will be.
[Commentlog]
Um, I mean. I don't know you or anything, and I know it's weird, but is there anything I can do for you?
[Commentlog]
You've heard if passengers vanishing without a trace, yes? I... lost a friend.
[Vie offers a small smile.]
What's your name?
[Commentlog]
My name's Duck.
[Commentlog] oops typo. XD
[Vie hadn't thought that the reason she didn't know Duck was because Duck was new.]
Just as suddenly as we appear, passengers have been know to disappear. It's... not a fun experience. Sometimes they come back, but they can't remember being here.
[Sources said that was exactly what had happened to Vie. Anna had informed her that she'd been on board before, not that she could remember it.]
[Commentlog]
[And now she's wondering if anyone misses her at home like Vie misses her friend here.
Fakir, maybe. Maybe Mytho. Maybe Pique and Lilie. Nah, maybe not.]
[Commentlog]
It is, but we're still here. We've got to keep our heads up.
[She's aware that she's not doing as she says. Vie stops there to think. Her head is a mess right now.]
I shall... remember him. Never forget.
[Or something.]
[Commentlog]
You're sure there's nothing I can do to help you?
[Because you DIDN'T actually answer the question before...]
[Commentlog]
No, thank you. I appreciate the offer, but it'll be alright.
[She rests her chin on her knee.]
I think I just need to adjust to the fact that Godric is gone.
[She offers Duck a smile.]
You're very sweet.
[Commentlog]
[She glances away. She would offer to stay and talk, but it seems like Vie really just wants to be left alone. It's one thing to bother the kids she knows at the academy into talking and feeling better, but these problems are a bit beyond her. She stands from her crouch and smiles brightly.]
If you need anything, you can call me, all right?
[Commentlog]
I will. Thank you.
[Alone time is a welcome thing right now, but Vie does appreciate Duck stopping by to see if she's okay.]
