[ 010 ] [ Video | Commentlog ] backdated to handcuff event!
[The funny thing about waking up in Holloway's Keep after death is that you don't remember anything; who you are, how to speak, what the world around you and everything in it is, nothing at all.
Call it chance that Vie, while inspecting the journal manages to activate the video feature. She gives the book, and anyone who happens to catch the broadcast a curious look before getting distracted by her own hands, feet and eventually, the room around her.
Journal discarded on the floor, Vie manages to make her way out into the hallway. At least she remembers how to walk by now, hm?]
((ooc: Handcuff event! Vie's getting cuffed to Garrus. Interaction otherwise is more than welcome. :3))

[Which is where he's headed when he may or may not pass Vie in the hallway. He tries his best to keep far to one side, and stay out of handcuff range...]
[But those things have some reach, man.]
... Crap.
no subject
She steps back when the cuff goes for her wrist, but it's not far or fast enough. Vie is caught. Her stance shifts to the defensive.]
Tsuk tas te'teru!
[Well, at least she remembers a few words. If only they were in the right language.]
no subject
[Normally, he'd back off. That's not an option right now.]
Easy. It's me... I'm...
[He gives his wrist a shake.]
Sorry.
no subject
Fa'rec.
[It's a curse, evident no matter what tongue she's speaking. She holds up her hands to show she's unarmed and nods to Garrus to do the same. Hell, she's only clothed because she found pants and a shirt in her room and thankfully remembered to put them on. Other than that though, Vie is barefoot and holding only the key she woke with.]
no subject
[He spreads his hands anyway, as best he can, considering one of them is cuffed to her. His weapons are slung across his back, as usual, but, they're thankfully not in hand right now.]
Are you okay?
no subject
[No really. What is that word and why is it familiar.
He knows her, or at least it seems like he does. Vie has no idea what Garrus is saying, however. She motions to the key in her hand and the lock on the wrist with it, then shakes her head. It doesn't fit.]
no subject
[Because that's the only answer he has for why she doesn't seem to listen to him.]
[... but that question would also need also need translating. So, instead, he offers her the key in his other hand.]
no subject
Surprise, surprise, it doesn't fit either.]
Dammit.
[At least that word was in Common.]
no subject
[Except they sort of need to communicate to be able to get out of this.]
How about you? Did you have a key?
no subject
It didn't fit the lock of mine.
[HELLO COMMON TONGUE I'VE MISSED YOU. Vie frowns at the words as they spill from her mouth. Weird. Where the hell did she learn Common?]
no subject
Did... your translator start up again?
[That has to be it. Right? Not anything else. It can't be. Instead of dwelling on that, however, he goes to fiddle with the key and the lock.]
no subject
[She looks to the key and then to Garrus, watching his expression and trying to make some sense of everything.]
Mar nomad'.
[Wait. Wrong language.]
You know me, don't you?
no subject
[Which meant...]
[Damn.]
Yeah... Yeah, I do. You okay?
[Audio]
[There's a very bad feeling in the pit of his stomach right now.]
[Audio]
[Audio]
[WORRY WORRY WORRY]
[Audio]
Who said that?
[Audio]
[That feeling is just getting worse now.]
Vie where are you?
[Audio]
I'm sorry. I fear you've mistaken me for another.
[Audio]
Listen, I know you can't remember anything but your name is Vie and I'm a friend.
[Also the guy you've been snogging the past few months.]
[Audio]
Books don't talk, friend. And how would you know what I remember and what I don't?
[Haha silly talking book. What kind of idiot do you think she is? Oh right. One that can't even think of her name.]
[Audio]
Well, can you remember anything?
[Audio]
Of course.
[Liar.]
Not that it's any of your business.
[Audio]
Really? Then try speaking common.
[Audio]
[Confusion + 10]
[Audio]
[He really shouldn't feel so proud about stumping someone who has no memories.]
Listen, just give me a chance alright? If you want proof just go looking through this book. We know each other.
[Of course he's not going to mention just how well they know each other.]
[Audio]
[She holds the page open that she can still talk to Hawke, but Vie is otherwise flicking back through the journal. It's weird seeing her own writing and not remembering a thing about it.]
[Audio]
[Audio]
[Vie pauses, takes another look around and goes about finding some clothes.]
You wouldn't have any clue as to where my clothes are, would you?
[Another pause.]
And just where are you?
[Audio]
Have you tried your room? Where you are?
Outside.
[Audio]
[Pffft this totally isn't her room. Really. ...Or is it?]
How vague a reply.
[Audio]
I wish I could tell you that but there should be something in the room your in.
[Just why was she nude in the first place?]
Well there's a lot of outside, but at the moment I'm near the stables.
[Audio]
[She's half amused, half annoyed. The gaps in her memory are pretty bothersome. Vie also can't quite understand why she wants to see him face to face so badly all of a sudden.]
I don't know the way. I ah... I want to meet you.
[Audio]
[Humor helps him not completely lose it right now.]
Just leave the building you're in. I'll meet you outside.
[Never has he wanted to see someone so badly yet been afraid to at the same time.]
[Not!Comment]

stairstroll, bro.]Vie?
[Jack's radar. It pings.]
...Hm?
[No really. Where did that voice come from. Vie stops to look around the room before looking back to the book. What the hell is going on.]
Dove? Down here.
[Oh. Gods. Did-?]
You feeling alright?
[Her brow furrows.]
Who are you?
Jack, dove. Captain Jack Sparrow, at your service-
[And while he does go through the motions of a reintroduction, bowing to the journal and her, it's a far cry from his usual enthusiasm. Very muted. ]
Would you be requiring any assistance?
What did you call me, Jack?
[Is she starting to remember things? Not that he realizes that he also called her something else...]
