[The funny thing about waking up in Holloway's Keep after death is that you don't remember anything; who you are, how to speak, what the world around you and everything in it is, nothing at all.
Call it chance that Vie, while inspecting the journal manages to activate the video feature. She gives the book, and anyone who happens to catch the broadcast a curious look before getting distracted by her own hands, feet and eventually, the room around her.
