[ 2-4 ] [ accidental video post / audio / comment log ]
[The video feeds kicks in with the fast blur image of the library. It would seem the comm has taken a leap from the hands of it's owner and is plummeting from the top of a bookshelf to the floor. A voice cuts through the air, speaking in a strange language.]
1Ta! Suto'nmi-- Merce!
[With a thud, it lands, completely undamaged and left to lie with it's lens facing upwards to where it fell from. Perched on the top railing of a ladder with her foot resting on the edge of a shelf is Vie. She leans over to peer down at the comm, hand still outstretched from holding it only seconds before.
There's a short moment of the woman just... looking, expression slightly worried that she might of broken the comm. She nabs a rather thick book from the shelf that her foot rests on and in a swift motion jumps from the top of the ladder. Vie lands lightly and reaches to pick up the comm. Anyone watching will see her turn the comm in her hands and hold it up for inspection. Spying no damage, she smiles before realizing that the video is active and that she's broadcasting to the entire boat.]
Ah... sorry!
[She can't not laugh as she shuts the video feed off.]
(ooc: 1Ta! Suto'nmi-- Merce! means 'No! Come bac-- SHIT' in Vie's native tongue. She's in the library, eager to do some research on some, or rather one of the races she's just met. Can anyone say 'Vampire?' Vie's encounter with Eric has left her determined to know her target and not fear him. Godric has left her plain curious.)

[commentlog]
A moment.
[She moves quickly, footsteps unnaturally light as Vie moves around the shelf to see Lilith properly.]
You are reading of Vampires as well?
[Vie is a little skeptical.]
[commentlog]
[Agreeing as casually as if she was confirming that yes, it looked to be cloudy with a chance of rain, Lilith turns another page. Next is an illustration of the sun and lines (presumably its rays) piercing the undead, who has smoke curling off his skin and a hideous scream permanently inked onto his skeletal maw. Lilith laughs.]
It's the in thing to do right now, ain't it?
[commentlog]
That's terrible! The image that is. I find the reading rather enjoyable.
[She pauses there, watching Lilith carefully.]
You're the woman from the comm, correct? The one that... taunted the vampires?
[commentlog]
[She is remarkably unphased by the grotesque caricatures with every other flip. A more sincere flicker of curiosity colors a pointed look at Vie.]
Yep. I guess you could say I was taunting- can't say the retard didn't have worse coming to him, though.
[commentlog]
Dracula?
[What the hell is a Dracula?]
I assume then that you were the first... victim of the night?
[commentlog]
Don't ever call me a victim, sweetie.
[She lets the awkward silence hang for three beats before grinning disarmingly.]
Nope! He ran away. Said Godric's name and hauled that pasty ass.
[commentlog]
My apologies. I do not mean any offence. You were the first encounter then, with Eric.
[commentlog]
None taken, small fry. I encountered him and he encountered my shield. Shame he didn't break his god damn teeth.
[commentlog]
My name is Vie.
[That's all the warning Lilith gets for now.]
It might of done my night better if he had broken his teeth, but then I would not be on speaking terms with Godric.
[She shrugs a shoulder.]
Have you found anything of interest?
[commentlog]
Didn't know you were the one that got bit. How'd it feel?
[Sidetracked? Why yes.]
[commentlog]
Yes, I was the one. It felt like a chunk was torn from my neck and the life was slowly drained out of me. I fought him as best I could, but he...
[She looks disgusted.]
Consumed quickly. I fell unconscious and woke to Godric.
[commentlog]
[This is genuine food for thought, not just something for Lilith to giggle insensitively over. A painted white nail flicks the spine of her text.]
Shame it's not the mega turn-on fiction wants us to believe in. 'Least you didn't croak or wake up all... vampy.
[commentlog]
That... certainly would of been a bother.
[It's not something she wants to think about. Her next words are laced with a hint of sarcasm.]
However, I'm quite sure I was left alive as an example. If I were dead, how could I speak of the terror and warn everyone of the danger that they might obey him.
[commentlog]
My goddd. That prick is really a piece of fuckin' work.
[No water nearby to wash it down, so what else does Lilith do but snatch up her vodka and down a swig.]
Get yourself a stake, girl.
[commentlog]
He certainly is something. How is it that you were unharmed?
[Pause to look slightly confused.]
A... steak?
[commentlog]
You know.
[commentlog]
[Vie blinks, a little uncertain.]
Are we still speaking of the same thing..?
[commentlog]
[She takes a breath to look between Vie and her hand, still cupped around an imaginary wooden peg. Lilith giggles.]
Uh, yeah. Ever put up a tent? You stake the extensions to keep it grounded.
[commentlog]
Oh! Yes, I know what you mean now. This language is not my preferred tongue, so some words are still foreign.
But how is that relevant to dealing with a vampire?
[commentlog]
[Aaanyway. Lilith's fist rears back and then slam down.]
Jam it in.
[commentlog]
Impaling someone with a sharpened stick does not sound like an honorable way to go.
[Still, it's something she'll remember to read more about. Just incase.]
[commentlog]
The hell is up with you people and honor? There's nothing honorable about getting the life sucked out of you, either. Like, literally sucked. You had his teeth in you, right?
[commentlog]
[The memory is not a fond one.]
Yes, he had his teeth in me. We argued, we fought and that was as it ended. Had I the knowledge and a stake in my possession, I might of reconsidered my views on honor.
As it is, he did not kill me and Godric has proven a reasonable... being, to work with.
[commentlog]
We're all reasonable when it's convenient to be reasonable, just like you could toss your squeamishness out the window when it's his life or yours. And not sorry to say that you'd be pretty fucking stupid to trust somebody who can and will treat you like his own personal blood farm.
[Abrasive, but Lilith has her point.]
[commentlog]
True. I can't argue with the points you raise, but I do take each individual into account. I will not judge them all from the actions of one, just as I won't consider the entirity of your species to act the same as you.
