[At the base of the Stable Tower, Vie paced, eyes on the wall above her and attention fixed on the windows of the upper level. Try as she had, access to that particular level had proven impossible and curiosity was starting to get the best of her. A glance over her shoulder to check if anyone was watching and when none came into sight, Vie moved to the wall and started to climb. Her movement was graceful, the woman quickly and easily making her way up the wall with only tiny ledges and bumps in the stonework to get her to where she wanted to be. It didn't take long to reach a window of the otherwise closed off level.

Unbothered by the distance she was from the ground, Vie worked her way to the window and peered inside. A shame, for all her efforts the window would prove useless and far too dark to see inside properly. Muttering to herself, Vie started to the next window along, eager to see if it would be a better access than this first.

Much to her surprise, a pigeon happened to be nesting on the second window sill and when she swung around to get to the window, the startled pigeon flew straight for her face. Vie yelped, knowing the birds of her homeland to be either enemy or agent of and in her scramble to get away from the freaked out bird, she reached for an unstable part of the ledge. The stonework crumbled beneath her touch and the next thing she knew, Vie was falling.

Silent as she was, her fall was broken by nothing more than the roof edge of the next building over and cry of pain escaped her lips. Vie hit the ground in a heap, curling into a ball and clinging to a badly broken arm. Blood soaked through the side of her shirt, a deep slice in her side from the roof. She knew she would mend well enough with time, but right now all she wanted to do was curl up and die. Gritting her teeth, Vie forced herself to sit up.]

Jak. I did not kill your comrade.

I am however, responsible for the fall of another. His death was a discussion that rapidly dissolved into an arguement. I did not intend to kill him. There were hostile actions from both sides, but it was his hands around my throat and my being unable to react otherwise that drew it to an end.

While not my intention, I am still responsible. This I do not deny.

Regardless of this, I must add. Should harm come to a friend of mine again, I will not hesitate to defend them. Consider this a second warning, Tony.

Everyone else, if you've a question, now is the time to ask it.

[She makes no mention of the smell, the breasts on the walls, the arms that reach for her, the lack of sleep, the heat or the fact that she's refusing to eat or drink what's provided, for now at least.]

(ooc: I really wanted to finish this with "I AM BATMAN" or "I AM TERROR THAT FLAPS IN THE NIGHT!!" but YEAH.)

[The comm clicks on.]

I was wondering... Have any of you ever been afraid of something that everyone else doesn't seem to have an issue with?

[Those with good hearing might hear the sound of water rippling against the side of the pool. Vie's certainly not in the water, rather sitting on a railing a few meters away and hugging one knee to her chest. There's a hint of concern in her voice.]

Better still, how does one go about abolishing that fear? To face it, better yourself from it.

[Or admit to it out loud. Questions voiced, Vie cuts the comm.]

(ooc: She's alright with water, but being in it scares the hell out of her. Vie can't swim, but she's determined to learn. All she needs is a teacher.)
