[ 011 ] [ Audio ]
[Since her memory returned after death, Vie's been searching the Keep and the outer wall for something of great importance. It's personal, and so not something she's been wanting to bring to the public eye, but desperation and a lack of other options has left Vie will little choice but to do so.]
Everyone, hello. I ah, I've a favour to ask.
[It feels weird to be talking about it, let alone to a crowd.]
Around two weeks ago I was killed, the one responsible, whether he intended my death or not, walks freely among us. At least until dusk.
[Vie is yet to decide if she'll attend or not. She's angry, but something else has the bulk of her attention.]
In my death I lost a few things. Clothes, namely. And a dagger I carried in my boot, but more importantly, I've lost a bracelet. It's brown, leather, and very important to me.
Should anyone find it, please, please return it. It means more than you'll ever know.
[A pause. Vie sighs.]
Thanks.

[She moves to stand by Hawke at the edge, and then glances back at Anders when he speaks.]
Some might call it magic, yes. We were under the understanding that a relic of the Gods might be simply more advanced than what any of Tal Cuaron could manage.
[Advanced technology. Who could say the gods were really gods and not just more powerful beings?]
I fell here. There's no bottom, not from what I could tell, at least. I didn't fall far at all, perhaps a few feet before I was gone. It's almost like the darkness swallowed me up entirely.

[He really couldn't help himself.]
If I don't understand then it's magic to me.
[Which meant there were a lot of magical things out there.]
Only one thing to do then...
[And Hawke begins to unbuckle his weapons and armor. If this screws up he doesn't want to lose all his stuff.]

[Then what Hawke is doing registers, and he all but lunges to grab his friend's arm.]
What are you doing?
no subject
No. No, you're not going down there.
[She makes no effort to hide her concern.]
Sollux mentioned another that had gone over the wall. The same thing happened to him.

[Sheesh guys give the man some privacy would you?
Hawke looks between Vie and Anders, both of them holding each of his arms.]
Someone's got to get it.
no subject
If two people have gone over and vanished, why would you be any different, Hawke?
We'll find some other way.
[... mostly because he can't stand the thought of Hawke getting himself killed.]

[As if to prove her point, Vie pulls a scarf from her belt and drops it over the edge. The scarf falls perhaps three feet before vanishing.]
That, is what happened to me. I died. Either Asha's bracelet is back in the Keep, or on the grounds, returned like I was, or it's... gone.
[There is no way she's risking anyone she loves going down there after it.]
no subject
Because I'm special?
[After watching the scarf vanish Hawke frowns slightly, mostly because of his inability to help Vie than the fact that he just nearly killed himself.]
Didn't some of the people here get some of their things from their homes some time ago? Maybe we can do a favor for Deior and get the same.
[Hawke will just about do any crazy thing for his friends, so he'll happily lick the boots of his captors if it means helping Vie.]

[Sure, death isn't permanent, but what if it stops working? What if it doesn't work on Hawke? What if -- ]
Don't you typically have to speak to someone to ask if they need a favor? He's been conspicuously absent the entire time we've been here.

I'm going to talk to one of the staff, face to face if I can and see what, if anything, can be done. What I ask of the two of you, is to keep an eye out for anyone that might find what I've lost.
[It's about all she can do right now. Vie feels guilty for what's happened.]
If by some chance things lost off the wall do reappear in the Keep, then I need to know. Asha's bracelet adapts to the wearer. I... wanted to protect it, to restore the Goddess herself, and so it gave me power to do so. That ability to another...
no subject
Alright alright no climbing down the wall. Like we've never taken risks before.
[Well Hawke is feeling utterly useless right now. That's not a feeling he likes.]
So no putting on strange articles of clothing then. Understood.
I'm coming with you.
[Because he's doing something dammit.]

[Come on Vie, be more descriptive -- is his opinion. Despite the fact she's clearly suffered a pretty bad loss.]
... And I said I was accustomed to performing great acts of foolishness. I'll go as well.
