[When Vie speaks, her voice is quiet, words more to herself than anyone else. In the background a man's voice, or rather that of a pumpkin, pleads with her to kill him.]
You look the part, but you are not him.
[It's been a long time since Vie's let herself cry, and be damned if she does so now. To the pumpkin she continues:]
In asking for death, you dishonor him. I'll not have his blood on my hands a second time.
[That's right Vie. You tell that pumpkin. :|b
She stands, breathes a sigh and this time, directly addresses those in the Keep.]
How is it that they know who matters? Perhaps this is a punishment. The past dragged forward to remind us of what we've lost or where we've failed.
[A beat. Vie starts her way away from the pumpkin, choosing to turn away from the carved face of her fallen master rather than give in to it's plea.]
Stay out of my head, Deior.
[The book snaps shut, thus putting an end to her entry.]

If it is it isn't particularly creative. My family has been whining at me for years. He'll have to try better than that.
[There's a pause.]
Where are you?
[It would be kind of pointless to ask if she's okay.]
no subject
Heh. Perhaps.
[Vie can't decide if she wants to cry, scream or do nothing at all. For the moment she's wandering away from the pumpkin, away from the Keep itself and off toward the lake.]
Out by the lake.
[She won't be hard to miss.]
no subject
[Alright he's not but he is jogging there right now to check on her with a certain furball plodding after him.]
no subject
[She's walking, tracing the edge of the lake without getting too close to the water. That she's upset goes without saying.]
no subject
He quickly catches up to her with the puppy following right behind him. It's not even chewing on his pants this time either!]
Now I'm no mind reader, but I think you're upset.

It's an interesting thing when you think the past is done and dealt with, and then it pops up in your face all over again.
no subject
Interesting? I'd call it more a massive pain in the ass.

[Vie sighs.]
Shad's death once over is enough.

But I've learned that if you destroy your own, the rest stop speaking to you. It's not much, but it's something.
no subject
[A pause. Vie's in thinking mode now.]
Hm. That's... not a bad idea, actually.
no subject
[Except he sort of fell asleep on his feet before he found his.]

[HMMMMMMMMMMMM.]
If you see one of my likeness, will you let me know, please?

[He's heard ONE pumpkin talk, and that was an actual conversation. Not this madness brought upon the Keep by the self-called Lord. ]
Would you like perhaps a distraction that is both liquid and tasty?
[It might not solve it, but it certainly does help in situations.]
no subject
[Or cry, but she's not going down that line of thought.]
A sip of poison sounds delightful, Jack.

[Not that the tavern was full. It would just be the two of them, unless perhaps, she brought a guest. That is where he'd find her, two cups, a few bottles upon the table, and he's got his arse in the air behind the bar, looking for something particularly strong...]
no subject
Something hard, please.
no subject
Aye, think I've got.
[He'll mosey on over and pour her a stout glass of it. He's sees that look there that you have upon your face, Vie.]
How are you feeling, love?
no subject
I've been better.
[The cup is set down, but her hand doesn't leave it.]
Keep it coming, Jack.

[She should really stop calling him that. It's been years. Get over it, Vie.]
Are you alright?
no subject
[What kind of life had this woman lived? Dastan supposed it may have been a bit better than it sounded. Though he was doubtful.]
All right? After being yelled at and called a murderer over a crime I did not commit?
[A pause. Deep breaths again.]
Sorry. I'm fine. Are you all right?
no subject
[That's all she'll say on that part of her past unless directly asked.]
If you know you're innocent, then hold to that. These are... not them. Shad would never beg for death nor point the blame at me.
no subject
[He wants to ask, but doesn't wish to pry, so he stays silent on the matter.]
Hm. Spoken with true wisdom. I thank you. When there is so much left unfinished--
Pardon. I know I am not the only one here with important matters to take care of at home.
no subject
[Any respect she had for Deior before today has gone right out the window.]
Might I ask your name?
