[The library had always been a safe haven for Vie. It was somewhere she could go to get away from everything and lose herself in the endless pages of text. There was always something to read about and her thirst for knowledge was ever growing. Rather than be curled up in her pillow pile as she usually was, Vie walked the halls of books, exploring the shelves for whatever might catch her interest.]

[Tony wasn't usually one that you'd find roaming the library- reading and the pursuit of knowledge had never really been a thing of his, whatever urge towards which he might have held in his early years had been snubbed out by the pursuit of other, in his mind, grander things. But when the majority of the population of a place that you were stuck in hated you, boredom set in quickly. And, hell, a book was better than nothing. The question was finding something that wasn't completely tedious and would be able to hold his interest- and his impatience wasn't allowing him to accomplish this very quickly at all. It also wasn't particularly allowing him to focus on much of anything except finding something and getting back to his room, getting away from everyone else, which was why he failed to notice that he'd turned into the same row of books that Vie was browsing. Of course, when he did notice, he did an abrupt about-take, attempting to leave the way he'd come, which proved to be an awkwardly obvious means of retreat.]

[At the sight of Tony, Vie came to a halt, body suddenly very tense and a frown creeping onto her face. She hated the man, and thankfully hadn't seen him since the day she killed him.]

And here I'd hoped you were gone, yern.

[The words were voiced with barely contained rage, not intended for him to hear but loud enough for him to at least catch that she said something. Her tone was a fair hint of the manner of her speech.]

[Normally when he'd heard someone, but hadn't caught what they were saying, Tony would have turned around, walked back to the person, and excused himself for not having heard. That was the polite thing to do, after all. But things were different with Vie- he certainly wasn't going to bother wasting politeness on her, especially when other people weren't around. He instead settled on a half-turn towards her, arching a brow.]

Are you really going to start this again? I'm leaving; that much was obvious. It wasn't necessary at all for you to have said anything.

[identity profile] gotyourwallet.livejournal.com 2010-10-13 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[She met his gaze and held it. It didn't bother her in the slightest that he wasn't being polite. Vie would treat Tony with the same respect that he did her: none.]

Who ever said I was speaking to you? The last I checked I was free to speak as I pleased.

[It was an immature argument, but one she would hold. Vie turned her attention to the bookshelf beside her and reached to loosely hold the edge of the shelf.]

Don't let me stop you. This isn't an area you normally come to, anyway.

The word 'you' tends to be an obvious implication that whatever was spoken was directed at someone in particular.

[He was obviously tense, and she wasn't helping any.]

Oh? And what exactly do you mean by that?

ffff i'm sorry i'm so late 6__9

[Vie makes an annoyed sound and barely resists the urge to roll her eyes. She plucked a book from the selection and started to flick through it's pages. If she stayed focused on something that wasn't him, she could control her dislike for the man until he was out of reach.

Or so she hoped.]

Just go away, Tony. I'm not in the mood for your merce right now.

No probs! RL>RP! <333

[Normally, he'd leave. He didn't particularly enjoy causing a scene in public, but there didn't seem to be anybody else here. That, and her attitude factoured in on his decision to stay. Call it an indulgence in petty spite, if you must.]

Actually, Vie, I don't think I'll be leaving. I've just as much of a right to be here as you.

[And, just to annoy her, he moved a step closer to her, grabbing a book at random from the shelf. Turning, he leaned against the shelf casually, crossing his legs, opening the book to whatever page. So what if the book he'd grabbed was an encyclopedia filled with words starting with the letter 'V'? It wasn't like he was reading it or anything.]

[identity profile] gotyourwallet.livejournal.com 2010-10-21 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Vie glared at him, her dislike for the man evident on her face. The hand that held the bookshelf tightened it's grip.]

Mar fa'rein siosu.
Take a book and leave, will you? Your stench is suffocating.

[It took a lot of effort not to throw something at him.]

I don't want you here. No one does. Good people keep leaving and yet you remain.

[identity profile] irredemption.livejournal.com 2010-10-21 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Good people? [He raised an eyebrow again, a crooked smile settling on his face.] Who're you to say who's good and who's bad, hm, sweetheart? In the grand scheme of things, aren't we all in it for ourselves? As for them being gone, and my being still here- [A shrug.] well, everything happens for a reason, don't it?

[identity profile] gotyourwallet.livejournal.com 2010-10-23 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
I am to say who's good and bad. A good man gives a damn about someone other than himself. And don't tell me you cared for Valentina. A black heart like yours cares only about yourself.

[Vie very nearly sneered.]

I bet she's glad to be rid of you.

[Tony had been about to reply when what she had said finally sunk in completely, and he felt something inside him tense, felt himself go cold with anger.]

Don't talk like that. You don't know anything about that situation.
