[Vie halts, body tense and turns slowly to face him. She was angry before, but this right now is fury. The look she gives him is one of shocked rage.]
Fa'rein. You're impossible.
[Her voice raises a notch. She takes a step towards him. Vie already regrets letting him up.]
You don't get it, do you? You really can't see the depth of what you've done. We 'lose it' because we actually give a damn about someone other than ourselves!
I called you here to talk. Take some responsibility, mar merce! What's wrong with us, is that we have a heart. Yours seems to of withered up and died some time ago. What was it you did back home, exactly? I'd taken sympathy before, but what did you do to sweet Valentina?
[He was fine, up until what she said about Valentina. Up until then, it was pretty much all that he'd heard before. But Valentina- that was the one thing in his life that he regretted, although he wasn't yet able to admit that to himself. Tony finally walked all the way over to her, looking down at her. When he spoke, his voice was low, quiet, and there was a barely detectable tremble of rage in it.]
Do. Not. Talk about her. Do not. Don't bring her into this, don't you dare.
[She looks up at him, stance ready to move should the need arise but mostly just defiant. Vie was shorter, but it didn't bother her in the slightest. She was used to standing up to men, and beasts of larger stature. The placement of the mirror shard was carefully set that she could hold it in an instant. Otherwise, the young woman had knives and sharps concealed for potential use.]
Do you hear the tone in your voice, Tony? Protectiveness... or is it guilt. What, are you going to shake me too? I'm not afraid of you.
[Vie watches him very, very carefully. She knows he's mad, that she should walk away, but heck, she's angry too.]
No, I think I'll keep talking, actually.
[Her tone is borderline sarcastic.]
You're right. I don't know. But after what I've seen from you this past week, I can only imagine what. You've got potential to be a decent man. Why you won't be remains a mystery.
I didn't do anything to her. I didn't. What happened- it was nothing. Nothing. [This might've been more effective if he hadn't sounded like he was almost trying to convince himself.]
And what I am- or am not- is none of your concern.
It is my concern when it involves people I'm close to. I cannot speak for Valentina, but those here? It's very much my concern. We're all stuck here together. Best we get along, don't you think?
[She lifts her chin a little and steps back, intent of resuming her leave.]
As for this 'nothing' you speak of? I am not convinced. And I get a pretty clear vibe you aren't either. Stop living in denial. Accept what you've done and learn from it.
Best we get along? That's all very nice, but it doesn't seem like that's how a good lot of you would have it.
[He matches her step backwards with a step forward of his own, reaching out and grabbing her arm, digging his fingers in.]
And I'd appreciate if you'd drop the holier-than-thou tone you seem to have picked up, there. No one's perfect, Vie- you're no saint either. So how about you do us all a favor, sweetheart, and stop acting like one, eh?
[She hisses when his fingers dig in, turning to give a deadly look. Her tone matches her expression. His hand recieves a glance before Vie shifts her focus to his face.]
I'm well aware of my past, Tony. Just as I know my faults. The differenc is, I acknowledge my faults. I don't run away from them.
I haven't lied about anything- although you and Mimmi seem quite determined to believe otherwise- and what you call excuses are all perfectly legitimate reasons.
Hurt your friends? That's a bit of an overreaction, there. I haven't physically hurt anyone, not on here. There's not a bruise on either of them. I think she did more damage to me than I did to her! And let's not even get started on what you just did.
But still, no, it's all my fault, of course. The blame can't possibly be put to anyone else. I'm starting to feel like some kind of bloody scapegoat.
Whether physically or verbally, you've done damage. Can't you see that my reason for calling you here was not to fight? I asked for your side and you wouldn't give it.
[Her words are contradicted by her furrowed brow and sharp tone.]
[Commentlog]

[Yeah, she's mad.]

Just shut up. Shut the hell up. You have no idea what you're talking about, Vie, so just shut up.
[Commentlog]
No, I think I'll keep talking, actually.

[Pause. Glare.]
Unhand me.
[Commentlog]
I haven't run away from anything.
[Commentlog]
Oh but you do. Lies, half truths, excuses. It's not physical running, but it's cowardice all the same.
[Commentlog]
[Commentlog]
[She makes a frustrated sound.]
If I hear of you hurting my friends again, you're in trouble.
[Vie takes another pointed step back, this time not turning her back on him.]
