[The Library had always been something of a safe haven to Vie. It was somewhere quiet she could go to think, but with enough material to distract herself with should her thoughts get out of control. Book in hand, Vie walked along one of the isles, eyes on the shelf beside her searching for nothing in particular before finally moving to settle amongst her usual pile of pillows.]
*Marco had been spending even more time in the library now that Zeke was fixing up Sergei's. If it took too long, he'd probably try to find another bar to work out of, but for now the library was fine. He passes by Vie at first, then turns and heads back over to her.*
[She heard him pass, then stop and return, but doesn't look up until Marco speaks. Eye contact generally leads to conversation, and right now she wasn't sure she wanted that. The sight of Marco was a relief.]
[Oh but she does worry. Vie makes to argue but stops at the mention of Marco having something of hers.]
What is--
[Better to just take it and see for herself. She takes the paper, unfolds it and stares at the page. There are tears in her eyes before she is aware. Vie waits a moment before speaking.]
Some words are off, but he's got the basic story down. And translating it to-- Do you know this language?
[She motions to the Gaulish text on the page. Her hands are shaking a little and while Vie isn't crying anymore, she's obviously very emotional at the moment.]
[Kate commented when she saw someone she hadn't met in the library. The red-head had been pacing about the isles with a book of Shakespear's poetry when she stumbled upon the seemingly new person.]
OH ... sorry ... hi there. Name's Kate.
[She had long stopped introducing herself as Katherine.]
Kirovian. The language of my people. Godric had... wished to learn. I told him this story entirely in my own tongue, weeks ago.
[Vie's pretty impressed.]
I did not think he had picked up on it this much.
[Her voice is quiet. Without warning, Vie slings her arms around Marco and pulls him into a loose hug. There's nothing to it, just a show of appreciation.]
*Marco was going to say something, but it dies in his throat as Vie embraces him. He freezes for a brief, but noticeable, moment before awkwardly returning the hug. He doesn't say anything, though.*
[Mimmi was also wandering the isles of books. But she actually wasn't looking for any books. It was merely a distraction. You could get lost in this library, and Mimmi found it was good for taking her mind off things. She really needed a distraction; it was hard to sleep lately.
But then she spots Vie! That's someone she hasn't seen in a while]
