[ 2-4 ] [ accidental video post / audio / comment log ]

[The video feeds kicks in with the fast blur image of the library. It would seem the comm has taken a leap from the hands of it's owner and is plummeting from the top of a bookshelf to the floor. A voice cuts through the air, speaking in a strange language.]

1Ta! Suto'nmi-- Merce!

[With a thud, it lands, completely undamaged and left to lie with it's lens facing upwards to where it fell from. Perched on the top railing of a ladder with her foot resting on the edge of a shelf is Vie. She leans over to peer down at the comm, hand still outstretched from holding it only seconds before.

There's a short moment of the woman just... looking, expression slightly worried that she might of broken the comm. She nabs a rather thick book from the shelf that her foot rests on and in a swift motion jumps from the top of the ladder. Vie lands lightly and reaches to pick up the comm. Anyone watching will see her turn the comm in her hands and hold it up for inspection. Spying no damage, she smiles before realizing that the video is active and that she's broadcasting to the entire boat.]

Ah... sorry!

[She can't not laugh as she shuts the video feed off.]

(ooc: 1Ta! Suto'nmi-- Merce! means 'No! Come bac-- SHIT' in Vie's native tongue. She's in the library, eager to do some research on some, or rather one of the races she's just met. Can anyone say 'Vampire?' Vie's encounter with Eric has left her determined to know her target and not fear him. Godric has left her plain curious.)

Am I to assume that the absence of the crew is to remain a mystery? Just the same as the Captain that no passenger has encountered personally.

Unless they show up and decide to let us know, most likely. I doubt they'll clue us in on anything, anyway.

I have actually seen the Captain in person a few times, at party a party and that...whatever it was with the lobsters on the island...but I never got to speak with him and he disappeared quickly.

Curious.

...Wait. You mean to say that the man riding the shelled beast on the island was the Captain himself?
ntjstapwn: (Heh)

Indeed.

Yeah, that was Redd. And that pretty much sums him up, really. I don't think anyone understands him.

...

That particular even was a rather strange introduction to this realm. One moment I was ready to fight, the next on an island I'm not familiar with, and then quite suddenly, here.

He does seem a strange individual. The methods of punishment strike me as odd.

I can't figure out if he's just crazy or if he does it to mess with us. I suppose it doesn't really matter either way to us. I doubt we'll ever be able to realyl grasp Redd.

Perhaps both. Boredom with a hint of crazy in a position of power over a small mass of people? I've seen similar, not quite as... eccentric, but similar.

Possibly.

Oh?

[Her voice is a little firm.]

Select Clan Leaders of my previous home. Beasts in charge of a mass of slaves they thought were scum. They did as they pleased, punished as they felt like and when it amused, abuses their power.

Hn...there are always types like that. Sometimes just the power drives them mad.

Unless the unfairness is against their own, it was more of a game than anything. My people were, and still are, property.

Ah...yeah, that seems to be common too. Sadly.

Indeed.

In any case, I should get back to my reading. We'll talk again soon, yes?

Of course.

Good luck finding what you need.
