[From the room of one Garrett Hawke bursts a brown haired woman, door flying open as she stumbles to get herself out of the room. Her balance is thrown off, the sudden addition of wings on her back just as much of a surprise as the state of her lover.
Waking up to a big, hairy, dog-like creature draped around her had been something of a surprise. From the room she's just left comes a muffled roar, the sound of a wookie. Back against the wall as much as her wings will allow, Vie opens her journal.]
Tell me I'm not the only one waking up differe--
[The sentence is cut short by another wookie call.]
Hawke, that had better be you.
[Vie's post ends there on account of the hairball is moving toward her.]

[He chuckles at that, amused.]
Yeah, I think so. Or at the very least, I'd have to stop you, or risk Hawke making good on his threat to sit on me.
[Varric pauses, because he kind of wants to see flying.]
...maybe if you had one of us standing below to catch you, just in case.
Hawke's busy convincing Carver he's not about to eat him.
Is that an offer of aid I hear, Varric? I'll understand if the threat of being crushed by furry buttocks is too much for you though...
I've faced far worse threats than those Hawke can boast, even with his new found fur.
Might as well try out this new height by helping out a friend. Besides, being on hand to catch a beautiful winged woman in case she falls should be in my job description.
Careful where you say that, Varric. You never know who might be listening.
[Vie's half expecting Hawke to crash into this conversation at any time.]
Meet you outside the Barracks?
[And he's just going to smile a bit, because hey, he was only worried about Vie's safety here. He tried to tell her no, but he's not terribly good at discouraging people from potentially stupid ideas.]
Presuming I'm not in imminent danger of aforementioned crushing, yes. I'll meet you there.
Garrett. Love. How are you?
[She's innocent. Really. Vie smiles.]
Whether you two are sitting on one another or not, I'm doing this. I've been waiting my whole life for the chance. It's certainly not going to waste.
[Plus, if he's there he can make sure that Vie's safe, or at least catch her if something happens.]
Of course we weren't trying to sneak anything past you. You read this, didn't you?
[And another smirk.]
I'd say something about you and Vie and how that could be considered the smartest thing you'd ever done, but I'm saving the good lines for my next book.
[The one he may or may not be working on currently.]
I'll see you two outside the barracks, then?
[She's still grinning. Vie gets to her feet and starts for the door, wings folded neatly at her back.]
Yes. I'll be right there.
[The book snaps shut, transmission ending from her side of things and Vie is headed for outside. It doesn't take her long to get there. She's far too excited. The moment she steps out the door, Vie stretches her wings out to their full potential. It feels... kinda nice.]
She's...well she's always beautiful to him but there's just something about her. It's almost as if the wings suit her really.]
Re: [Video]
He heads over when he spots them aoutside, smiling and tilting his head at Hawke's new form]
It's almost a relief this way. I don't know what I would have done if I'd been taller than you.
[Not!Video]
I think his hair is almost better than mine.
[Vie pauses and looks up at Varric. She grins.]
Now that's a change.
[Not!Video]
Unable to really join conversation much, Hawke looks between them with a raised brow. So are they doing this or what?]
[Not!Video]
Less natural is the lack of banter, of course, which is already starting to feel odd. But he grins back at Vie's comment.]
It's an entirely new perspective, from way up here.
[At Hawke's look, Varric gestures at the keep.]
Which building did you feel like jumping off today?
