Do I dare to ask what's happening now? This week has been eventful enough without the sudden burst of new passengers.

[She sighs.]

Alright. I'm just going to go read.

[Vie is in the library, curled up in her usual pile of pillows and making a fair attempt at ignoring all the strangeness.]

There are many strange things beyond what we know, Roddan. A woman stated earlier that tomorrow the new arrivals will be gone and I'll remember nothing of this meeting.

[She likes that laugh. Vie smiles at him and shrugs her shoulders.]

They call her The Major. Don't ask me how she knows, but apparently she does. It was a clear warning.

[She watches him when he sits, curious of the man who knows her when she doesn't know him. Vie does feel a little guilty for that.]

Earlier this week I was 5 years old, as was the rest of the ships passengers. Some were older, some younger. It was a strange event.

[Vie pauses to frown, expression thoughtful.]

And then there were... gender switches. Men were women, women were men. After than, body swaps.

This sounds insane, doesn't it.

I did not at first, but I'm used to it now. There are some bad persons, as there are in every crowd, but the majority of passengers on board are good, or at least reasonable.
